Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
SoulRhythms is a space for learning to pay attention to life as it is—and to recognize and receive the ways Love meets us in every moment. It is rooted in the conviction that God is present and at work in ordinary days and difficult seasons alike, inviting us into deeper awareness, trust, and response.
For many years, my life and work have been shaped by spiritual formation and by walking alongside people in seasons of grief, crisis, and profound transition. In hospital rooms, living rooms, and quiet conversations, I have learned that transformation rarely happens through answers or explanations. It happens through presence, patience, and faithful listening.
This space grew out of that learning.
Here, I write about faith, formation, grief, resilience, boundaries, healing, and becoming human. I’m interested in how we learn to live thoughtfully, love deeply, and trust the in-between—especially in ordinary life. Much of this writing lives in what I think of as “threshold spaces”: moments of surrender, reorientation, and quiet courage.
“Love Beyond Fear” has been a guiding phrase in my life for many years. It names a practice I continue to return to: choosing openness over armor, compassion over control, and presence over performance. Not perfectly. Not heroically. Simply, faithfully.
I don’t write as an expert. I write as a fellow traveler—someone learning, choosing, and responding to God’s presence along the way.
If you’ve come here carrying questions, weariness, hope, grief, or curiosity, you’re welcome. My hope is that these words might offer companionship, language, and a little more room to breathe.
Thank you for being here.
